Louis Vuitton has unveiled a giant Monogram trunk installation covering its flagship store in Hong Kong. Positioned at the bustling intersection of Pedder Street and Des Voeux Road Central, the entire multi-story building at LANDMARK has been concealed behind a scaled-up replica of the French maison’s classic brown canvas luggage, transforming one of the city’s most prominent street corners into a monumental tribute to luxury travel heritage.

Constructed with meticulous attention to traditional trunk-making details, the temporary facade features gold-plated rivets, polished brass corner caps, giant hardware clasps, and a leather handle running along the side. Prominently displayed near the top, a plaque reading “中環站” (Central Station) signals a railway-inspired theme that extends throughout the design. The upper section of the installation mimics a dome-top trunk lid framing an arched window and a central station clock, while the street-level arcade houses a deep-green “1re Classe” train carriage lined with digital screens simulating a moving urban landscape. Serving as a teaser ahead of the flagship’s official reopening, the structure also anchors LANDMARK’s district-wide “Destination CENTRAL” campaign, celebrating the art of travel in the heart of Hong Kong.
