Some magazine collaborations happen once and disappear. This one came back on purpose.
Han Jisung is once again the face of NYLON JAPAN’s September issue, reuniting with NARS for what the magazine is calling the second chapter of their partnership , and the history behind it makes the return genuinely notable, not just another idol beauty spread.
Back in 2025, Han became the first artist ever to land NYLON JAPAN’s double cover, paired with the same NARS beauty concept. That issue didn’t just perform well , it topped preorder rankings across nearly every major Japanese book retailer, including Tower Records and HMV&BOOKS, with a dedicated 26-page spread built entirely around him. That’s the kind of commercial result that turns a one-time shoot into a standing collaboration.
This time around, the visuals lean into a warmer, more mature register , a radiant, healthy-looking complexion built through NARS’ latest makeup releases, with the cover story reportedly moving through five distinct emotional states across the shoot. It’s less “idol styled by a brand” and more a magazine and a cosmetics house both betting, for the second time, that Han’s specific presence sells.

For a member of Stray Kids already carrying real creative weight through 3RACHA, that’s a fairly deliberate signal from both NYLON and NARS: this wasn’t a trend they tried once and moved on from. It’s a relationship they’re actively building.
