Eighteen months after stepping down as Chief Creative Officer of Versace, ending an iconic three-decade tenure following the passing of her brother Gianni, Donatella Versace has officially announced her next act. The 71-year-old Italian design titan is partnering with Los Angeles-based e-commerce powerhouse Revolve Group Inc. to launch an independent, next-generation luxury fashion and beauty brand.
Marking her first creative venture built entirely from scratch outside the house that bears her family name, the project represents a strategic pivot toward the digital-first era. While the brand’s official title remains under wraps, the joint venture is set to make its debut in 2027, starting with a high-end beauty collection before expanding into ready-to-wear apparel, lifestyle accessories, and cultural entertainment initiatives.
Under the agreement, Donatella will assume the role of Chief Creative Officer, shaping the brand’s visual identity, product design, and creative narrative. Meanwhile, Revolve Group, which posted $1.23 billion in total revenue across its Revolve and FWRD platforms, will provide its global digital logistics, customer analytics, and direct-to-consumer reach.

The partnership targets Millennials and Generation Z, leveraging Revolve’s expertise in youth culture and influencer-driven engagement. “Revolve understands something I believe deeply: culture comes from connection,” Donatella shared in an official statement. “Together, we want to create that connection with a new voice, a new look, and a new energy.”
By launching beauty ahead of ready-to-wear, Donatella is adopting a contemporary luxury playbook: establishing an intimate daily connection with younger consumers before rolling out architectural fashion collections. Rather than leaning on traditional heritage retail, her new label fuses Italian haute glamour with West Coast e-commerce agility. As the industry looks toward its 2027 debut, Donatella Versace demonstrates once again that genuine fashion authority is never static—it continuously reinvents itself.
